Just Drop-In is a charity that supports children and young people aged 11-25 who live in the north of Cheshire East (Macclesfield, Bollington, Wilmslow, Knutsford and Poynton.) All of their services are free of charge, and they help and support children and young people who are finding life hard, with a heartfelt commitment to improve their mental health and wellbeing, helping them to find their feet

Climate change is causing more wildfires, droughts, rising sea levels and record breaking heatwaves and 2700 premature deaths in UK in 2026 (metoffice data). At the Repair Cafe we are reducing carbon emissions through repairs, and now by donating £400 to The Woodland Trust. The Woodland Trust is the largest woodland conservation charity in the United Kingdom and is concerned with the creation, protection, and restoration of native woodland, capturing and storing carbon from the atmosphere. By donating to the Woodland Trust we are compensating for greenhouse gas emissions elsewhere, balancing unavoidable emissions, meeting environmental goals, and channelling funds into global sustainability initiatives.

The Smile Group was set up by Natalie and Ruth in 2011. Both mums had first-hand experience of perinatal mental health challenges, and identified a gap in community support. Their service offering has been shaped around the parents they support, with compassion and kindness at its roots. Their premise is to create safe, non-judgmental spaces in which parents can connect with peers and benefit from a combination of services at a vulnerable time in their lives.

The Bridgend Centre is a local, independent charity that plays an important role at the heart of the local community in Bollington, Cheshire. They work to enhance the quality of life for residents and community members by fostering a caring, inclusive and supportive environment, offering friendship, company and someone to talk to in an accessible space. They particularly support those with mental health conditions, learning disabilities and older people, who without Bridgend may feel especially isolated or vulnerable.

Macclesfield Community Tree Nursery are growing trees from seeds collected locally and getting those trees planted in the area. The reasons for this are to combat climate change, increase biodiversity for nature and just make our area a nicer place to live. They are not for profit and are doing this because they think it is the right thing to do. The trees they grow are free for anyone who will give them a good home.

The One Project (Macclesfield) is a cohesive and inclusive community, empowered by the knowledge and skills to embrace sustainable environmental friendly ways of living.
Through community events, volunteering opportunities, educational workshops, and developing partnerships with like-minded individuals and organisations.
Through community green space projects, sharing horticulture knowledge and sustainable food growing.
Through facilitating recycling, reusing, repairing, and repurposing otherwise wasted commodities.

CRE8 deliver high quality youth and community work within the Moss Rose community. Our staff team are unique in that most live and work on the Moss Rose Estate. Many of their staff have lived experience and were part of Cre8 when they were young. They are supported by a network of volunteers and a strong trustee group. They foster a learning culture to help staff and volunteers to be the best that they can be, and support those within the community who want to make change happen.
